"We are trained by society to not believe our own experiences, to not believe our sisters, and to not believe our instincts, in order to enable patriarchy to continue. Here we remind ourselves why we must listen and ground in our wisdom, in order to liberate ourselves from the stories we’ve been told all our lives. Here we tell our own truths. Here we break the silence."

    Changing the Game

    (via New World Economics)

    Changing the Game

In less time than we think possible.

    Business.
What we all do for most of our day.

    Will be forever gone.

    The so-called “leaders” of business.
The masters of the universe. What do they want?

    They want to win.

They enjoy putting it all out there and being the very best at what they do.

And they’re winning alright. They’re winning.
    That’s our fault.

    Ours.

    We control the game.

    We do.
    Not them.

They don’t even care about the rules.
    They just want to win.
We let them win by cheating.
Or delivering on the letter of the law and nothing of its substance.

We let them win by treating them as winners.

    Instead of pariahs.

    By not calling them out.
By not insisting on substance over artifice.
    By not demanding art.

By buying their worthless toxic crap.

    Well guess what?

    We’re creating a new game.

    One with better rules.
    Simpler rules.

The object of the game is for everyone to win.

    Here are the rules:

    We learned them in kindergarten.

    We dream.
    We inspire.
    We help each other.

    Sharing is good.
    Smiles are the best reward.

We treat others with respect and dignity.
    We listen.
    We tell the truth.
    Each of us is equal.
Each of us decides our own path.

    Game starts now.
